Final Day at PCTO 2025-2026

The latest edition of our PCTO program has officially come to an end, marking a successful collaboration between local education and the industrial sector.

Over the course of several weeks, selected students from IIS Europa Unita and Liceo Isaac Newton transitioned from classroom theory to hands-on engineering. The core challenge tasked two student teams with the design and construction of a functional robotic arm, a cornerstone technology in modern industrial automation.

The program required students to navigate the full development cycle:

  • Design: Creating complex virtual models.

  • Execution: Building a physical prototype.

  • Testing: Successfully navigating the arm through a challenging two-plane path.

The initiative culminated in a final session where the teams presented their prototypes to tutors and partners. Beyond the technical mechanics, the program emphasized the importance of collaborative problem-solving and meeting rigorous industry standards.

The success of this bridge between school and work was made possible through the mentorship of expert tutors and a network of prominent partners: Microla Optoelectronics S.r.l., ASSELTECH, both fundamental for technical guidance, I3P, Politecnico di Torino and Associazione Chi-Hub, which hosted and facilitated the entire initiative.
