Our laboratory is excited to announce the official start of this year's PCTO (Percorsi per le Competenze Trasversali e per l'Orientamento) project: the design and construction of a fully functional Robotic Arm!
This intensive, hands-on program represents a deep dive into the field of mechatronics, challenging a selected group of students from IIS Europa Unita and Liceo Isaac Newton to transform a virtual concept into a tangible, working model. Students are tasked with creating a robotic arm—a foundational tool in industrial automation—that must be capable of accurately maneuvering an object along a complex, two-plane path.
To achieve this ambitious goal, participants will be tackling three parallel technological tracks focused on design, printing, and control systems, all guided by our expert laboratory tutors. This real-world challenge is designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical engineering application. The initiative underscores the importance of collaboration between academia and industry. This project is proudly hosted and supported by Associazione ChiHub and made possible through the crucial partnership of several key organizations: I3P - Innovative Companies Incubator of Politecnico Torino, ASSELTECH, V.E.N.T and Microla Optoelectronics S.r.l.
